Mission Statement
Sigma Chi Chattanooga Alumni Chapter – a 501(c) Organization
Our mission is to foster a vibrant and supportive community for Sigma Chi alumni in the Chattanooga area, actively contributing to the betterment of Chattanooga, UTC, and the Sigma Chi active chapter (Delta Theta). We aim to serve as a bridge between the university, the active chapter, and other 501c organizations, leveraging our resources and collective expertise to promote education, empowerment, and civic engagement.
Our Goals
- Community Engagement: Promote and participate in initiatives that enhance the quality of life in Chattanooga, including educational programs, volunteer efforts, and partnerships with local organizations.
- Support for 501c (not for profit) Organizations: Collaborate with and support other 501c organizations in their efforts to make a positive impact in the community.
- Sigma Chi Active Chapter Involvement: Encourage and provide opportunities for current students at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to engage with alumni, fostering mentorship and professional development.
- University Collaboration: Strengthen ties with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga by supporting its mission, initiatives, and events, ensuring a lasting and meaningful relationship between alumni and the institution.
Together, we strive to create a legacy of service, leadership, and connection that will resonate through generations and contribute to the continued excellence of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC), and the City of Chattanooga.
